Planning for future improvements
The City is developing a Site Development Plan (SDP) to guide infrastructure renewals and future projects at Morris Buzacott Reserve in Kardinya, for the next five to 10 years.
The SDP will ensure improvements are strategic, sustainable, and aligned with our community needs.
In order to prioritise practical, achievable upgrades without large-scale relocations or major structural changes, the SDP will include:
Needs Analysis – Assessing current and future requirements.
Site Assessment – Evaluating existing infrastructure and usage.
Report and Recommendations – Outlining key priorities for renewal and development.
Open Space Concept Plan – A single-option vision to guide future improvements.
By investing in a well-planned approach to infrastructure renewal, the City aims to maintain and enhance Morris Buzacott Reserve as a valuable, functional, and enjoyable space for years to come.
Opportunities to get involved
This project was initiated in response to user group requests, giving users the opportunity to influence the design for the future of Morris Buzacott Reserve. We are committed to engaging local groups and stakeholders to ensure the enhancements align with the genuine needs of those who use the space.
A dedicated design workshop series with key site user groups took place in April, May and June 2025, focusing on understanding current and future site use.
Subject to Council endorsement, the City will invite feedback from the broader community through an online public survey in late 2026.
